DELIA TO THE RESCUE AGAIN

and now there are 5.................Poor Jazzy just does not have enough milk to support her 3 babies. The little one lost a bit of weight so I gave her to Delia.........she hasn't stopped nursing since I put her in.

They are just too cute and Delia is the BEST MOM EVER. Not too long ago she acted as a surrogate for 2 orphan pups and we believe it saved their lives. Thank you Delia.........

DELIA DELIVERED FRIDAY

Delia delivered 4 absolutely BEAUTIFUL puppies on Friday morning about 7:30 a.m. Boy 3 7/8, boy 5, girl 4 3/4 and boy 4. Mom and babies are doing just wonderful.

DOC CHECK

Jazzy's temp is down and she has had contractions every 8 minutes most of the day. I took her up for a vet check to make sure all is ok. Here we are, back at home. I will sleep with her tonight to make sure she is ok. We are still looking at a C section this time around so maybe tomorrow morning if we all get lucky and can sleep awhile tonight. Keep us in your prayers and thoughts. Holly

I spent friday and saturday in New York City at the Yorkshire specialty shows. Friday was at the Hotel Pennsylvania and Saturday at the New Yorker. Unfortunately flash photo's were not allowed so I was not able to get photo's but here is one class on Friday that I snapped. The other picture is the Empire State building lit up in red in honor of the upcoming Westminster show starting today. I had a great time and saw so many gorgeous dogs and talked with so many wonderful people. Maybe someday TMY will be debutting there! A aways, click on the pictures to get a good look.

JAZZY INCHING ALONG TO HER DUE DATE

Jazzy is inching along to her due date which is around the 18th of this month. She has a huge buda belly going on, has trouble manipulating stairs already and has an appetite to boot!!! We have scheduled her for her x-ray next week. I will try to remember to bring my camera so you can see the babies............In the meantime you will have to just check out her belly!

PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS

Taylor Made Yorkies just had our annual Town of Arundel inspection and we "passed with flying colors". We had no deficencies in anything from cleanliness to paperwork. The inspector just loved the dogs and of course they all had to show off and try to kiss him silly. We are so proud of what we do for our dogs and what we do for you!!! Stay in touch and give me updates........holly

NUVET VITAMINS

I finally had a chance to call my rep about the NuVet vitamins. I know some of you had your puppies refusing to eat them after purchasing a new bottle late last summer. They were aware of the problem and they only said they wished you and I had called them and they would have replaced them. For those of you who still have them on your shelf, uncap the bottle and let it sit for week and then try them again or call and send them back. There was nothing wrong with them but it was something about one of the ingredients, specifically the chicken livers that created a bitter taste. Guess the birds ate sour grapes or something.......LOL. just kidding. It had to do with not having enough water. Anyways, I left the cover off and my dogs are eating them fine now, and I just ordered a new batch as I need them.
NuVet vitamins are all natural and human grade and not heat treated. We swear by them at TMY and will continue to make it part of our contract. Please dont give up on them........for the health of your dog. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. For those folks out there that might like to try them........use breeder referral number: 30388............Holly

DRY SKIN SEASON

Not only is it dry skin season for us but also for your dogs. Heating your home with wood, hot air, etc. will dry out their skin at this time of year. Here are some things you can do to help combat the itchy dry skin of winter for your dog.
1. Use a really good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner such as Pet Silk.
2. Be sure you are feeding a really good dog food such as Royal Canin Yorkshire Terrier.
3. Suppliment with salmon oil for dogs or you can buy AllerG3 Liquid from your vet. It is a combination of Omega 3 fatty acids for dogs and it works great.
4. Try bathing every other week with brushing and combing daily to stimulate the natural oils to be produced.
In the meantime, stay warm and have fun this winter............dont forget to bundle up and that means your yorkie too!!!!!!!!!!

THOUGHTS AND THANK YOU

Recently I was very upset again because I found out that someone was telling bad tales about TMY. Most things were lies, but they also used tidbits of the truth and twisted them to be horrible.
Every time this happens I dont understand it, but the more time goes on and the more I think about it.........I have to say thank you. The reason for this is that just over the last 2 weeks I have received several calls from folks seeking a reputable breeder to purchase a yorkie. They have reinforced that my website is what drew them to me.........my articles, my blog, my pictures and the way I handle my emails and writings. They selected me because they felt from what they could see........is that I am a breeder who cares and loves my dogs. More than that, I care about each and every one of you who have used me as a resource or who bought one of my pups. Thank you so much for helping me set TMY apart from others, light the fire under those who have misjudged us and for just being there for support for ME when I needed it most. I love you all!!! TMY will continue to do what we do best.............care!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! First off I want to say thank you. Thank you for reading my Blog, commenting and for all the wonderful support you have given us in 2008. Without you, TMY would not be where it is and I probably would not be a sane person at this point....LOL. 2008 was a wonderful year and we were blessed over and over. Although it came with some sadness as well, life's lessons have to be learned.
In 2008 TMY added several wonderful new moms and dads to our family , we had a great Yorkie Family reunion, we achieved our first championship with Sutton and again, TMY produced beautiful, quality, healthy puppies. It also came with the loss of 2 newborns, Jazzy and Delia's little ones and our most tragic loss of our beloved Taryn. But we all have to learn from our mistakes and life does go on. They will forever be held in our memories.
For us, we see 2009 as a new year of change, hope and love. The economy is bad right now, oil prices went to a new high, but now has dropped to within reason and now the election of the first US black president. What evolution and historic things happening around us! We hope and pray that all of you have the most healthy and wonderful new year in 2009. We also want to see each and every one of you in the coming new year. Can you add it to your goals for the year? We hope so!! Many blessings and thoughts of good will. Holly
