CHAMPION TAYLOR'S PAY-ENG IT FORWARD

I can't even tell you how thrilled we are at TMY. Payton a Champion!!! It really has been a whirlwind. Payton debuted in Rhode Island at just 6 months old in April. By early September she was just waiting on a 3 pt major. She really finished extremely quick for a young dog particularly since we didnt show for weeks trying to seek out a major. Now one year old as of 10/17/10 our little girl is a big champion. She is now working on her Grand Championship, an honor for us at TMY as this will be a first here!! I do want to thank all the Judges who honored us with points, as well as Vicki and family for all the repeated help, Andrea who went out of her way to help, to my new friend Tammy who really helped us so much last weekend, and for all the encouragement and cheers from all of TMY's family and friends. We could not have done it without you........love you all HOlly

SUPER WEEKEND....TEARING UP THE CARPET

We are just overwhelmed with out wins and exciting times here at TMY. On Saturday, Georgio took Winners Dog over 3 other dogs in coat earning 2 pts. He now has 5 total and is really getting into the show thing.
Our darling Champion Taylor's Pay-Eng It Forward, Payton, Took Best of Opposite both days earning 4 more points and going over another champion each day. Payton has 10 points towards her GRAND Championship in just 2 weekends. I am so amazed and just so very proud of her accomplishiments.
A special thank you to Andrea who drove down and helped me on Saturday and to all my Shiz Zu friends that helped me today. HOlly

10/10/10 THE PERFECT 6 BORN TO DELIA

10/10/10. The hype with people running to get married on this day, TMY had our own event. Delia who managed to hold her pups an additional 5 days delivered her litter 6 days early. She went into labor around 9 a.m. and by noon with consulting with our vet, had not produced any puppies. She ended up with an emergency C-section because the pups were bottle-necked, 2 coming at once and was unable to move them down appropriately. 4 girls and 2 boys, weighing from 3 oz to 4.5 oz. We had a bit of a time to get the tiny girl going and breathing right, but by the time we left the emergency hospital, all were nursing and holding their own. This morning all the pups have gained slightly and mom is doing fantastic. We are hopeful that all the babies will continue to do well and thrive. Of course we are on watch 24/7 and will do everything we can. Such a beautiful litter and Delia is the best mom ever. These pups are Sutton and Delia pups. Keep the thoughts and prayers coming!! We love you all.

PROGESTERONE DROPS-LABOR-

Yesterday I got a frantic call from my mom. Delia who is due on 10/16 (53 days into her pregnancy) was not acting right. I went right up and brought her home.
Delia is due 10/16, she has 9 more days before she should have her pups. Since dogs only carry their babies for 63 days, it is critical that she carry her pups to at least day 59 or 60. Early labor and delivery usually results in pups with undeveloped lungs and their survival rate is extremely low. Delia was checked and in labor, a dropping temp, (another sign of delivery) and a low progesterone level prevailed. We are giving her daily injections of progesterone to try to keep her levels up enough to keep her from labor. We did her x-ray and it showed 6 pups possibly 7. One is itty tiny bitty.
I just learned 2 weeks ago that you can give progesterone to stop the labor and hopefully not abort the litter....thank goodness for learning something new every day!
WE NEED YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS FOR DELIA.......PLEASE!! I will keep you posted.
