I finally had a chance to call my rep about the NuVet vitamins. I know some of you had your puppies refusing to eat them after purchasing a new bottle late last summer. They were aware of the problem and they only said they wished you and I had called them and they would have replaced them. For those of you who still have them on your shelf, uncap the bottle and let it sit for week and then try them again or call and send them back. There was nothing wrong with them but it was something about one of the ingredients, specifically the chicken livers that created a bitter taste. Guess the birds ate sour grapes or something.......LOL. just kidding. It had to do with not having enough water. Anyways, I left the cover off and my dogs are eating them fine now, and I just ordered a new batch as I need them.
NuVet vitamins are all natural and human grade and not heat treated. We swear by them at TMY and will continue to make it part of our contract. Please dont give up on them........for the health of your dog. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. I called them and told them that my puppy would not eat the ones you had given me as a starter pack. I tried them right away, and then at 3 months and then at 6 months and the puppy would not eat them at all. (She will eat her heartworm pill in a little piece of cheese, but there's no way she'll eat the Nuvet). Twice I asked Nuvet if they would send a sample so I could see if they had changed, or if the dog's taste had changed, and they would not. They said I would have to buy a whole new supply. Knowing that my dog will not eat them, it is too much to ask to buy a whole supply to confirm that she still probably will not eat them.
